Damaging viruses are a fact of life on the Internet.
While messages themselves on DelphiForums message boards cannot carry a virus,
attachments can and might. If we ever discover a virus-laden attachment on
our message board we will remove the post from view and notify DelphiForums
immediately.
And your friends might upload or send an email virus without even
knowing they are doing so.
DelphiForums has virus detection software working, but there's no substitute
for having your own virus protection software protecting your computer.
Such software is a must and really, no one should be
downloading files, reading posts, messaging or emailing without it.
Please use caution when opening
email
attachments from even your friends - as viruses can spread silently and, as
mentioned above, without their knowledge.
Please make it a general rule to save attachments from
friends and strangers alike to disk, and then scan them for
viruses before opening them.
Virues can cause you serious heartache - please.. take care and be cautious.
