Valentines's 2000 2nd Place EntryFalling In LoveI was looking for a man shopping would be a good word looking for a summer fling nothing more to ignite a brief flame I never thought didn't expect that flush that red rush of emotion that luminous band of stars that galaxy rising on the horizon spilling into liquid into the sea onto the beach into my heart sand spilling out of the hourglass into my dreams into my shoes my mother warning me "Don't get sand in your shoes!" this wasn't rareripe love this was - thank god I waited! this was - how did I live this long without you? this was - the force that draws us together this was gravity.
