IBPC Winning Poetry | ||||

In April 2000 Callahan's joined with five other forums to launch the first-ever Inter-Board Poetry Contest (IBPC)! For complete and official rules and regulations (as well as information about this month's judge), please visit the IBPC page. Summarized, the contest works like this: Poets post their work on our message board, in the Poetry Folder. At the end of the month the coordinator will choose 3-5 poems to submit for judging, checking first to obtain the poet's permission and also to verify that the piece is unpublished and has not been submitted elsewhere. On the third day of the following month, winning poems will be selected by a judge who is not a participant on *any* of the competing boards. (The judge will be changed once every four months.) Winning poems will be published on each board's website, each month. In addition, one winning poem each quarter will be selected for publication in The Gumball Poetry Machines, a print magazine associated with Gumball Poetry.
