The Irish Writers' Centre was established to promote and assist in
the development of contemporary Irish writing. It acts as an
umbrella body for four constituent organisations: The Irish
Children's Book Trust, The Irish Translators' Association, The Irish
Writers' Union, and the Society of Irish Playwrights.
