Welcome to
Callahan's

Undecided

The journey before me is long indeed.
Will you be with me or am I alone?
Spurred by pain, I'm a lost and forlorn steed,
Seeking to find the way back to my home.

Travelling on through deep and darkest night,
My fear is real and I can taste the pain,
Searching my heart for a glimmer of light,
My soul purified by cold, pouring rain.
Lightning bolts show me the road ahead.
Between claps of thunder, I'm sure I hear
Faint sound of laughter, I listen with dread,
The road is deserted, no mortals are near.
I must decide to determine my plight.
Keep running this night or turn and I fight.
* * * * * * *
I had sought to explore unchartered realms,
Leaving familiar things a World away,
but soon I find that longing overwhelms
when thoughts of love and home invade each day.
At night the constellations are the same
as those I used to see with friends at home.
I look towards heaven and cry out your name,
Mem'ries of lust won't leave me alone.
Pack up the stars and send them away,
They just remind me of what I must do:
change my flight and go back home today.
Beaches, discos -- you and I are through.
Decision made. Home alone I must go.
To find you there would end my tale of woe.
