Welcome to

With You

Sure,

We had a few GB's and they were second to none:
We made some jokes and went for broke
And traded the occasional pun.

Some of 'em made me laugh and a few made me groan
but each and every one
made me feel like I was home.

I could hear Eddie doing his thing on the piano
Keeping up his bit and man, his hands were there!
The mindmelds were good, and he played Parker with his right

But his left just did Costigan and Jake came right in
with a tasty lick he'd picked up (Who knows where?)
and the magic was huge.

But when the room quieted down and it was just us few...
You explained your pain to me.
And I explained mine to you.

And we laughed and wept and swept our glasses through the air...
And through tears and laughter....
Were glad that we were there!

What a merry crew I know!
How fine to share both Joy and Pain!
And toast to both, again!

Every mutton-headed gin sotted fool who passes through
That cracked and repaired door fills me with joy!
We share our hearts and when night ends....

perhaps feel less blue.

So pour me a cup
and I'll tell you something sad/happy and true...
Shared pain/joy is always better

But best....

when shared with you.
