Tender

Tender, the word is like a diamond.
Its facets are many.
If it's in the right light
the word gleams.

He kissed me so tenderly on the cheek.

It can be so sumptuous, so delicious,
easily torn.
It can melt in your mouth.
Like a steak cooked to perfection.

Falling on thin ice
can leave you tender
all over.

So much so that the slightest touch....hurts.

To be soft and delicate is to be tender.
To present for acceptance is to tender.
To take care of our needs is to 'tender.
