i miss the littered ambience of the place
the peanut shells, the banter
and the midnight conversations
the doors are closed at callahan's,
there is a sign outside
closed for repairs
and I could use a beer or two
some jokes, a line unrhymed or not
a kestrelled joke
a desmonned hail, well met
but it won't let me in!
