Here we are...
Christmas 2002
and wouldn't ya know
I still have shopping to do!

I've thought and I've thought
with all of my might
I need to buy presents
and I need them tonight.

I've looked under the tree
that's here in the saloon
it's laden with presents
and lights shaped like spoons.

Colorful paper
and ribbons and bows
there's even a redbird
as red as a rose.

Origami cranes
donated by Cane
and Chris has so graciously
provided a train.

It circles the tree
like a round friendship ring
and it's always so nice
to hear gold finches sing!

These teddy bears
look so cuddly and soft
you can see them all smiling
from way up in the loft.

Feathery pom poms
and some popcorn strings,
my Dad's wishbone ornaments
they're my favorite things.

Commemorative angels
that shine through the night
remind us of departed patrons,
Bhanti and Bright.

So to the Malls I must hasten
and I hope to be proud
when I've found just the right presents
for all the Cal crowd.
