Alphabetic Acrostic on Seattle

All year long,
Bored, we waited
Came the time anticipated.
Dates were set, for our long trip;
Eagerly, away we slipped
For Seattle, the current goal,
Gathered with others of like soul.

How did we celebrate!
It was a blast,
Just as elsewhere, in years past.
Kind hosts, Linda and Don, their home
Left open, for us to roam.
More than they bargained for, for sure,
Now emptied of our noisy tour.

Our plans towards next years gathering are laid.
People next year will go who this year stayed
Quiet at home, and envied our
Revels and parties late of hour.
Shall we improve on what we've done,
Through Gather plans just now begun?

Until we've started, who can tell?
Visions and plans are but the shell
We write, and notes to be,
Xylophones we've not yet struck,
Yesterday's fictions, set free,
Zero's of a function of luck.
