I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a friend, a daughter, and a Catholic. Beyond that there is that part of me that is just me and I try to nourish and protect it so as not to get lost in the other identities. My politics is independent, though sometimes one wouldn't know it. I am involved in various activities through my Church community including Bible Study, and Women at the Well (a group seeking to become more spiritual...) I serve as coordinator of Circles of Care which reaches out to members of the community with various needs because of illness, or inability to take care of their own needs. I love to read and belong to a book club which I enjoy very much. I also love to work crossword puzzles and I dabble in writing when the mood strikes. In the Delphi community I am the Forum Owner/Manager of The Humormill. Laughter is an important part of my approach to life. Things are never so bad that a funny story or joke won't make me laugh and perk me up. I married Ron because he has a fabulous sense of humor. It has gotten us through some pretty rough times. At Callahans I am a message board tender and dubbed myself the Queen of Quotes. I find the challenge of seeking a provocative quote to post each day interesting, but the responses they elicit are even more stimulating and that brings me joy. |
