Callahan's Bar Rag December 1993 Edition!

In this issue:

Welcome - Season's Greetings
New Year's Resolutions - Small Newsletter

Welcome!!!

To those of you who have joined us recently, welcome. I think you will find us a fun group of people. I hope you find the conversations fun and interesting. Feel free to add your comments to any thread of conversation in the forum that strikes your interest, or start a new topic of your own.

Our Happy Hour is on Wednesday evening starting at 10:00 PM EST, however there are plans in the works to expand those times. You may come online any night and find people in the bar, though. If you arrive and no one is there at all, feel free to start your own conference, and invite anyone you wish.

Season's Greetings:

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwaanza, Peaceful Solstice. If I failed to mention a celebration special to you, please let me know. December is always a special time, I feel. Whether you are celebrating the birth of a Messiah, the first fight for religious freedom and miraculous lamp lighting, or just the changing of the seasons, there is so much joy in the air. People seem to show their caring more, and sharing seems to be the rule of the day. I hope the attitude can continue throughout the year.

I want to thank you all for the wonderful gift of your friendship. I have had such a wonderful time getting to know you, and I'm looking forward to getting to know our newcomers. I appreciate your patronage at Callahan's and I hope you also feel like you have received something in return.

New Year's Resolutions

These are my resolutions for the new year. Please post a note in the forum and tell us yours.

1. I will try to know myself better.
2. I will try to be honest with everyone, especially myself.
3. I will try not to judge anyone.
4. I will try to help when I can, or at least not hurt.
5. I will try to see the good in everyone.
6. I will try to rid myself of whatever prejudices I have.
7. I will try to continually learn something new.
8. I will try to believe in the impossible.
9. I will watch for miracles wherever I am.
10. I will try to live by Callahan's rule, "Shared joy is increased, shared pain is diminished."

Small Newsletter

I'm sorry this months newsletter is so small. As many of you know, I travel constantly for a living. Consequently, most of my work here is done on my laptop. Unfortunately it is in intensive care right now, and much of my data is inaccessible. Next month, The Bar Rag should be back to normal, and will probably be larger than usual.

If you do not wish to continue receiving this newsletter, just drop me a line. If you like it, show it to a friend. I'd be happy to add them to my mailing list. Thanks for your support.

Nick (NGREENE)
