Scavenger Hunt

Our first Scavenger Hunt was a success. My only regret is that I did not get the information out about it to non-Callahan's people as well as I would have liked. However, I must have made the questions harder than I thought, because no one sent me any answers. See, guys, even one right answer would have won the contest. Well, maybe you'll do better next time.

Special Thanks

While catchy phrases may lure people inside, the wit and wisdom of the active participants is what holds their interest and keeps them coming back for more. Illinois Retail Manager

Online News:

Zebra Books has developed what is believed to be the first BBS for the publishing industry. Z-Talk On-Line Information Service will allow subscribers to engage in a number of on-line activities such as message boards and chat services, while also offering various databases, such as a calendar of industry events and a historical time line. According to Zebra's Steve Zacharius, the service will permit readers and authors to communicate with each other as well as allow authors to help each other with writing projects.

The service will initially be focused on the romance market, but may be eventually expanded to include other markets as well. Z-Talk, which launched in early September, is open to everyone, however, certain sections will offer access only to the trade. An added benefit which Zebra hopes to utilize will be market research.

Zebra is charging a flat yearly fee of $60.00 to subscribe. This allows for two hours of access time per day. They hope to eventually interest other publishers in participating.
